Orbital track remains stable over Bajor’s northern hemisphere. Power levels nominal, comm buoy array holding lock. Current duty shift cycling cleanly.

At 1427 hours, Deep Space Nine signaled priority contact. Colonel Kira Nerys appeared on main viewer. Her report was short and to the point: the replacement control satellite had passed all station-level diagnostics and was ready for handover. Requested Sunfire to retrieve, position, and complete final activation protocols. Authorization codes transmitted and verified.

Acknowledged the order and initiated retrieval preparations.

Helm plotted a straight-line course from our current orbital anchor to DS9 at three-quarter impulse. Engineering ensured plasma feeds remained balanced for sustained low-velocity transfer. Tactical ran a courtesy sweep for residual Mirror Universe signatures — clean so far.

Transit took two hours, forty-nine minutes.

Upon arrival, we matched velocity and orientation with Upper Pylon Two. Station operations released the satellite from mag-lock moorings on schedule. Tractor beams extended from Launch Bay Two; Lt. Devran handled the capture as if he were threading a needle in zero-g. No drift, no roll.

Once secured, we reversed course and began the tow back toward Bajor.

Three hours later, we re-entered the designated orbital slot. Released the satellite into free position, then used fine-control tractors to orient the array so its primary dish aligned with Bajor’s planetary grid. Began activation sequence: power-up, frequency stabilization, signal handshake, and system integration with the existing network.

Everything lit green. The new satellite immediately compensated for atmospheric distortion, providing a steadier feed than its predecessor. Logged as operational.

With the mission complete, we returned to Deep Space Nine. Approach vector approved by Ops. Slid into Upper Pylon Four with minimal thruster adjustment, one of the smoother dockings I’ve overseen.

As final docking clamps engaged, the comm line chirped. Commander Rosa Coy’s voice came through, steady but carrying a familiar undertone of tension.

“Sunfire, this is Commander Coy. I am on approach with the Trill delegation. Requesting clearance for immediate docking.”

Confirmed her clearance. Standing by for arrival.

End log.
